JLG Telehandlers Montana
After spending many years working together with his brother to be able to establish their crane manufacturing company into a leader of the business, John L. Grove decided to retire. John as well as his wife Cora celebrated their retirement by going on a cross-country trip in their recreational vehicle. After that particular journey, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the global leading manufacturer of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling machinery.
During the R.V. trip, John spent a lot of the time talking to prior business associates who the Groves stopped to visit along their trip. Sadly, while they were visiting the Hoover Dam, 2 workers were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. Through following conversations, John saw a big untapped market for a type of equipment that can quickly and safely hoist people into the air to be able to carry out maintenance and construction functions.
John decided to take action after John and his wife returned from the journey. He began a partnership with two dear friends when they purchased a small metal manufacturing business within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, with an original team of 20 staff, the trio built and sold the very first JLG aerial work platform. Many components of the basic design elements of that first machinery are still being integrated into the current equipment
The company has come a very long way ever since John L. Grove drove back into town from his cross-country journey and have grown dramatically since they debuted their first aerial work platform. Even these days, JLG continues to expand into additional worldwide markets. Lots of innovative machinery are made to help clients work safer and be more effective.
JLG has remained committed to being the leader in the business. The company takes operator comfort into consideration very seriously. They attempt to deliver in overall comfort and safety, as well as in performance so that the operator could be as productive as possible.
