Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklift units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck providing great height and versatility. The arm, or crane, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the individual utilizing it to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the load to great heights. Regular forklifts can not move the load away from and towards the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in both agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
A lift truck carton clamp attachments are better in cases needing high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to apply uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It is available with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform that is designed to raise employees is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a strap or chain is utilized to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
