Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with different other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a much greater range of horizontal reach. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined areas during construction and industrial applications. They are also known for their ability to quickly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and is able to stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit comes outfitted with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were previously inaccessible by traditional jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This specific feature enables up and over reaching jobs to be done with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform needs to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be elevated fully at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing efficiency and production.
