Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
The Bi-Energy and Genie DC equipment offered by Terex provide emission-free and quiet operation in the most sensitive work applications. For instance, in industrial situations where the equipment should travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the versatility and advantages of a diesel fueled generator using a 48 Volt DC machine.
Important features which this combination offers is up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. As well, the zero tail-swing offered by nearly all models, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
Proportional lift controls and drive controls also offer precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. The 48V DC electric drive system provides quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive settings. There are jib boom models available to function with an extra working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates ninety degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is great for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This model offers engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine over, up and out positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach provided by this model is the best in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms offer zero tail-swing on most models and have a tight turning radius. These machines are ideal for maneuvering in confined locations. Additionally, they provide excellent torque, grade and terrain maneuverability and utmost power. The diesel engines are generally quiet also. Nearly all models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to provide great flexibility on rough and uneven surfaces.
The 4 or 2 wheel drive models, provide the rough terrain features and high ground clearance which make these desirable to add to any fleet. The jib boom types are available and offer added range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models as well.
