Narrow Aisle Forklift
A narrow aisle forklift is utilized for lowering and lifting loaded pallets from high storage spaces. This type is suitable for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, like for example retail establishments or warehouses. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires which make maneuvering simple.
Generally, the operator of this specific kind of forklift stands up in a small cockpit. The stand-up design allows the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: one in the rear, and two in the front. This configuration enables for fast and easy maneuvering. There are some versions of these forklifts that are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment can pivot to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the entire equipment. The sit-down version usually has four wheels.
Many narrow aisle forklifts are powered by an electric engine. Machines that are electrically powered do not make exhaust fumes and are not noisy, making them the preferred option for closed places like for instance retail spaces. Several lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. Then again, the diesel version is not suggested to be utilized indoors as it could produce exhaust and be noisy.
